Listen & Speak Series
"Listen & Speak Series" ─ completely free, no ads, no tracking, no in-app purchases. Native audio on every example, fully offline.
safa-lang is a multicultural learning support network helping foreign residents and Japanese people understand each other. Through completely free language apps, a cultural blog, and partnerships with support organizations across Japan, we lower the language barrier ─ gently.
So that foreign residents can live comfortably in Japan.
So that Japanese people can build bridges across cultures.
We deliver a "safety net of language and culture" ─ for free, to anyone.
Not through flashy gimmicks or excessive gamification,
but quietly, deeply, and reliably ─ standing alongside each learner.
Free apps, cultural content, and partnerships ─
all working together to support foreign residents and Japanese people alike.

Within our broader multicultural learning network, what we are focusing on most right now is Japanese language support for foreign residents in Japan.
Using the learning method we proved with our "Listen & Speak Nepali" prototype, we are now reversing the direction ─ building the "Listen & Speak Japanese" series so that Nepalese, Bangladeshi, and Vietnamese residents (and more) can learn Japanese from their native language.
By working with support organizations and educational institutions on the ground, we want to make sure that fewer people get stuck at the language barrier.
We welcome any organization committed to multicultural coexistence.
Zero adoption cost, no contracts required ─ ready for use at the front line.
A free supplementary resource that lets international students and technical intern trainees preview and review Japanese in their native language. Not the school's own app ─ a free resource students can use at home. Currently exploring partnerships with major schools like ISI and Akamonkai.
For daily-life support for foreign residents, pre-arrival and continuing study for technical intern trainees, or supplementary material for volunteer Japanese classes. Route users to the appropriate native-language edition.
Supplementary material for local Japanese classes, and an extension of multilingual life information. Coverage in newsletters and on official websites is welcome ─ no referral fees.
Support for foreign employees' Japanese learning, pre-employment education, and ongoing study on the job. Free to offer as a benefit. Welcoming employers of technical intern trainees, specified skilled workers, and highly skilled professionals.
Coverage on the Nepalese, Bangladeshi, and Vietnamese communities in Japan, multicultural coexistence initiatives, and examples of free learning resources in action. Cultural content collaborations welcome.
